It is important to note that each of the following ordinances must be taken into the context of the time and environment during which they were proposed. Contact me for details or perspective concerning any of the following ordinances or proposals that are listed.

Sponsored the ordinance to amend the Accessory Structure ordinance.

Sponsored the ordinance for the creation of the Advertising and Promotion Commission.

Voted for the creation of our own District Court in Bella Vista removing the cost of paying Bentonville fees for the use of theirs while also eliminating the travel of Bella Vista’s staff and police officers to travel to Bentonville.

Voted for the construction of the new bridge at Mercy Way.

Voted for the addition of the traffic light at Hwy 71 & Trafalgar Rd.

Voted for Trail licensing agreement. The trail licenses gave the general public the right to access private POA land where trails were built so that the city could legally financially contribute to upkeep and maintenance.

Voted for the 11 Under Trails tunnel agreement.

Voted for the paved Metfield connector from Blowing Springs Park to Metfield.

Voted for the ordinance to implement Impact Fees on new housing and commercial development.

Sponsored Ordinance in partnership with Councilman Larry Wilmes to purchase a portion of the Centerton Water line that runs north along Hwy 279 from Hiwasse to Fire Station #4.

Ordinance failed: Doug Fowler, Linda Lloyd, Larry Wilms voted yes. Jim Wozniack, John Flynn, Steve Bourke voted no. Peter Christie declined to vote.

Voted for the second Short Term Rental Ordinance, which included less requirements in order to be permitted.

Voted for placing the bond proposal on the ballot for the BV residents to vote on the proposal to approve or disapprove the addition of a Fire Training Facility, the rebuild of Fire Station #3 and the building of a new Public Safety Building.

Sponsored the ordinance that alleviated street parking issues at the Tanyard Creek trailhead.

Voted for the building of a new salt and sand storage building at the city streets department.

Voted for moving the streets from private domain to public at the two residential developments turning north on west of St. Bernards Catholic Church off of Lancashire.

Voted for the funding to construct the Wash Bay at the street department.

Sponsored Ordinance to require candidates for public office in Bella Vista to submit Campaign Contribution and Expense reports 10 prior to the beginning of early voting vs 10 days prior to the general election. The question was submitted to the Arkansas State Attorney General for an opinion that gives cities the authority to require submmissions before the early voting period. It was his opinion that requiring early submissions did not require additional effort upon candidates, and yes, cities could implement their own requirements. Click to see the opinion here.
